Sierra Invoices legal

Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of Sierra Invoices. They are written to explain the practical deal first: what the app does, what stays your responsibility, and where legal limits apply.

Last updated March 20, 2026

Use of the app means accepting the legal terms

New account creation now requires acceptance of both the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy before the account flow can complete.

Your invoice and expense data stays your responsibility

You keep responsibility for lawful invoicing, tax treatment, retention duties, and making sure you have rights to the data you upload.

Third-party services still apply

Stripe, Stripe Connect, hosting, auth, storage, and email providers may apply their own rules, fees, onboarding, and compliance requirements.

Plans and onboarding are separate offers

The app may offer a free plan, a paid Pro subscription, and a separate optional onboarding service for setup help.

Closure is not the same as instant deletion

Because business records may need to be retained, workspace closure may involve retention or archival steps instead of immediate erasure.

1. Service Provider

Santiago Sierra Aguirre, Sole proprietorship, provides and operates Sierra Invoices and uses Sierra Services as a trading name or brand. For legal notices, you can contact us at santiago@sierraservices.ch or by post at 8136 Gattikon - Zurich.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

  • You must provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account unless caused by our own misconduct.
  • You must notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access, account misuse, or a security incident affecting your workspace.

3. Permitted Use

You may use Sierra Invoices to manage your business billing workflow, including business profiles, clients, invoices, reminders, expenses, public invoice pages, and related payment flows.

You may not use the service for unlawful, fraudulent, misleading, abusive, infringing, or sanctions-violating activity, or in ways that interfere with the platform, third-party providers, or other users.

4. Your Data and Compliance Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and completeness of the business, tax, client, invoice, and expense data you upload or send through the service.
  • You must have a lawful basis and any required notices or permissions for personal data you upload about clients, contacts, invoice recipients, employees, or contractors.
  • You remain responsible for your own invoicing, bookkeeping, VAT, tax, retention, and business-law obligations.
  • The service provides workflow tools only and does not provide legal, tax, accounting, or regulated financial advice.

5. Public Invoice Pages and Payment Links

Public invoice links are designed to be shared with intended recipients. Anyone with a valid public link may be able to view the invoice details needed to review or pay that invoice.

You are responsible for deciding when and to whom invoice links are sent, and for confirming that the invoice content is ready to be disclosed to those recipients.

6. Third-Party Services

Sierra Invoices relies on third-party providers for infrastructure, authentication, storage, email delivery, and payments. Stripe, Stripe Connect, and other third-party services may impose their own terms, onboarding requirements, fees, policies, and compliance obligations.

If you connect payment features, you are responsible for completing any required Stripe or payment-provider onboarding, KYC, and account verification steps that apply to your use of those services.

7. Plans, Billing, and Optional Onboarding

Sierra Invoices may offer a free plan, a paid Pro subscription, and separate optional support services. Unless a different price is clearly shown at the time of purchase, the current plan description is free access for up to 3 issued invoices per calendar month and Pro access at CHF 19 per month for unlimited issued invoices.

Paid app subscriptions are billed through Stripe and may renew on a recurring basis until canceled through the available billing tools or support. Taxes, third-party processing fees, and future pricing changes may apply if shown before purchase or renewal.

Optional onboarding is a separate one-time service currently presented at CHF 99. It is meant to help with workspace setup, business details, invoice numbering, Stripe guidance, and first client or invoice setup. It is not required to use the software and may be scheduled subject to availability.

8. Availability and Changes

We may modify, improve, suspend, or discontinue features from time to time. We aim to operate the service responsibly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

We may also update these terms as the product, payment model, or legal requirements change. Material updates should be reflected by a revised last-updated date and updated published terms page.

9. Workspace Closure and Record Retention

Because invoices, payments, expenses, bookkeeping records, and related business documents may need to be retained under applicable law, workspace closure or deletion may be delayed, limited, or handled through an archival or support-led process instead of immediate erasure.

You should maintain your own exports, backups, and retention workflow for records that must remain accessible to your business.

10. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if needed to protect the platform, comply with law, respond to abuse, address security issues, or enforce these terms.

11. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. We do not make guarantees about merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Santiago Sierra Aguirre will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or business opportunity arising from use of the service.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

13. Governing Law and Venue

These terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Unless mandatory law requires otherwise, the courts located in Zurich, Switzerland will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these terms or the service.

14. Contact

Questions about these terms, billing, or onboarding can be sent to santiago@sierraservices.ch.
